Edwardian Hip Flask

£85.00

A good-looking Edwardian silver plated hip flask with a screw-cap top by "James Dickson & Sons Sheffield".  This one is super-large and has a particularly striking pared-back design. The upper half has a detachable silver plated EPNS cover that also acts as a cup.

Height 18cm  Width 10cm  Depth 5cm

Country of origin: UK

Date of manufacture: c.1900

Materials: electro-plated silver nickel (EPNS)

Condition: fair, with plenty character building scuffs and scratches to the silver plating, plus a small dint on one side (see all images).  Yet considering its 120 years of use, its slightly war-torn exterior might be expected, reflecting its history and adding to its beauty.
