A very rare large set of early 1920s ironstone food canisters, and the icing on the cake is, they are in incredible condition. The linear black design is classic of the early 1920s, and the motifs are between Secessionist and Art Deco, just before the jazz-modern style of Art Deco took over in the late 1920s. There are 9 canisters total, of square section and with rolled tops - and all have their original lids. "NHP Made In England" is stamped on the underside of some.

Dimensions: Height 21cm / Lid widths 11cm x 11xm / Jar widths 10cm x 10cm

Condition: wonderful, considering their 100 years of service. Some very fine crazing to glaze throughout, as is normal; and the PEAS jar has a 1cm long hairline to rim, yet barely noticeable - see image.
