VINTAGE
1930s Disney Snow White And The Seven Dwarves
£125.00
A very fine and rare set of vintage 1930s ceramic Snow White & The Seven Dwarves, beautifully modelled on the animated Disney film that was first shown in December 1937. The figures are cold-painted terracotta and are in their original enamel paint, and were made around the time of the Disney film release. In this set however there are only six dwarves. Yes, Snow White & The Seven Dwarves has become Snow White & The Six Dwarves, as one appears to have wandered off, may be to help Frodo Baggins and his quest with The Ring, or simply to seek a stronger female role model.
This is truly a fantastic find, and each piece is in extraordinarily good condition considering its age. Disney is currently remaking Snow White, which is to be released on March 21st 2025, making this set of figures a timely discovery.
