CO2 Enamel Sign
£195.00
A striking mid twentieth century strap-shaped fire-fighting enamel sign in white and red. Its bold CO2 lettering and graphic shape would make a pleasing decorative statement on a wall - and would look wonderful positioned alongside a contemporary fire-fighting extinguisher.
History
This sign would have been affixed to a wall in an industrial space to indicate the location of carbon dioxide extinguishers that were for use on Class B fires, those involving flammable liquids such paraffin or petrol. CO2 extinguishers work by smothering the fire and cutting off the supply of air.
