Our handmade butler's brush is made from hand-tufted split horsehair secured in a rounded beechwood handle. Its grooming uses go beyond the brushing down of jackets and trousers, as it can be used for the sweeping of crumbs from the tablecloth or tabletop, or to buff shoes.

Horse hair

Hair from the mane and the tail of the horse is used extensively in hand made brushes that are plastic free, and the strong tail hair is particularly suited to the making of indoor brooms, hand brushes, and brushes used to clear cobwebs.
