An antique bread board with matching bread knife, each carved with stylised wheat-sheaf motifs. The bread board is of sycamore, richly carved, and sits on a slightly raised foot. The knife has a wheat sheaf patterned handle with "Bread Knife" engraved on its blade; which is also marked "Butler, Sheffield, England". The knife and board have been much loved, and have a wonderful polished patina.
