A Salford food safe with original blue and white enamel paint finish. It has perforated sides and door, a Bakelite handle and a removable internal shelf. Its original purpose, before the days of the refrigerator, was for the storage of meat, cooked cold-cuts, milk, butter and leftovers.  It would make an ideal kitchen or bathroom cupboard.
