A four piece 'bone-handle' carving set by Lewis Rose & Co Ltd Sheffield, consisting of a carving knife and fork, a sharpening steel, and a matching bread knife. And in such pristine condition, it looks like this set has never been used.
Our vintage ‘bone-handled’ carving set is both good-looking and functional, and its renewed popularity make them a cool addition on today’s table. The carving knife, fork and bread knife have ivorine handles fashioned from xylonite, and high-polished stainless steel blades. This elegant style of flatware was made from 1920 through to the 1950s in Sheffield England, which was then the heart of the world’s cutlery industry.
