A super-large 1940s wall-mounted perpetual calendar – the largest and most impressive we have had to date.  The day, date and month are are printed on linen which wind on three internally mounted rollers, each set behind its own glazed window. The rollers are operated by the knobs located on the side. It is in excellent working order and the wooden case has its original stained finish and glazing. The linen is in very good clean condition and the rollers turn well. The case is constructed from a combination of wood and ply.

History
Adored for their simple and graphic modernist design and distinctive Gill Sans typeface, perpetual calendars were manufactured in various sizes and materials from the 1920s to the 1950s and often found in offices, factories and shops. Our stunning calendar originated from a post office in Clerkenwell, London.
