1920s Enamel Cooker

Sold

An exceptionally good-looking 1920s enamel and cast iron electric cooker from the days when things were of high quality and built to last.  Its electrics may not have survived its one hundred years, yet its structure, enamelled surfaces, hinges and dials are almost immaculate.

It consists of a two-plate hob, a hot plate, a grill and an oven. The top is hinged, making for easy cleaning, the grill door flaps down, and the oven door is lever locked. The dappled pale blue enamel main frame is enhanced by the white enamel of its doors and ceramic dials.  The 'click action' of the dials is totally rewarding, sounding a definite On and Off.  A great prop for a display or period drama.

Country of origin: UK

Date of manufacture: 1920

Dimensions: Height 90cm, Width 63cm, Depth 50cm

Condition: exceptional condition for its age, with some small discolouration to the enamel around the hobs and hot-plate. See pictures. This item is not sold in working order and if to be used for its original purpose would require refitting and rewiring by a qualified specialist.
