Vintage Denby Manor Green asparagus dish

Manor Green is no longer in production today, yet its classic lines and serene colour have stood the test of time, and it now fits beautifully into the 21^st century home. Well designed and extremely practical this range of stoneware china was born in the 1930s with some serving dishes, such this one, bearing the current jazz-age trend for cut-off and angled corners.  Their rich glaze and striking simplicity still make them relevant today, and they add an arresting addition to the contemporary kitchen and dining table.  

Rare item

Some shapes ceased production in the 1950s when other more modern designs became the trend; consequently these Art Deco inspired designs along with other earlier pieces are rarer and therefore harder to find.  Manor Green has proven to be Denby’s classic table china of choice and this vintage range is now much sought after.
