Tissue wrapped and packed into our largest gift box they are the perfect present for those that exercise diligent housekeeping and appreciate the finest of brushes.
Our jamb duster - the traditional name for a decorator's dusting brush - is made from rubber tree wood and pure pig bristle. It is used for dusting down surfaces after sanding, and is adept at reaching into the corners and channels of window frames, skirting and picture rails. It also works as an excellent all-purpose household brush and, even, as the perfect gentleman's neck brush. Length 19cm
A beautiful and ergonomically designed beech and horsehair brush that will deal with all your last-minute brushing needs; and smart enough to use as a crumb brush at the dinner table. Length 28cm
With its hand-tufted pom-pom of soft goat’s hair and turned pear wood handle, this brush is made for all your extra delicate dusting needs, such as around ornaments, glass and delicate light fittings, such as chandeliers. So beautiful, you may care not to use it but simply hang it up by its leather strap and give it an occasional fondle. The small spot of black goat's hair gives it its name. Length 34cm
An elegant brush of soft goat’s hair and polished pear wood that is perfect for dusting off the tops of your shelved books. Length 26cm.
With its long beech wood handle and three rows of stiff horsehair, this traditional hand-made brush of Victorian ancestry is perfect for getting into awkward nooks and crannies – for when push comes to shove, the bristles compress down to the width of the handle, locking in on any dirt. It deals swiftly with sweeping dust from louvre doors, shutters and Venetian blinds; and is excellent at extricating cobwebs from behind cupboards and wardrobes. Length 55cm
Our A G Hendy & Co branded boxes will make your gift that extra special. Constructed from vulcanized cardboard with an internal aluminium frame and rivets for extra rigidity, they were originally made for the British Museum in the 1950s to be used as archive boxes. Never used, they were recently discovered in a forgotten store room belonging to the museum. Once unpacked, the box offers further very useful storage solutions for today’s office and home. Each box is labelled on the underside of its lid with Hendy’s Original British Museum Archive Box c.1950 printed on our hallmark oval sticker.
