Pembroke Table

An elegant early Victorian mahogany Pembroke table with single drawer on four turned legs set on castors. A very handy and compact piece of furniture for the smaller home: when part extended it can be used as a desk or for supper for two; fully extended it can seat several people for dinner; and when fully collapsed it can act as a hall or side table.

Currently on display in our store.

Country of origin: UK
Date: c.1850
Material: mahogany

Dimensions: Height 72cm Depth 53cm (when fully extended 97cm) Length 91cm

Condition: there is some characterful light staining and a couple of ring marks to the polished top which is usual for a piece of furniture of this age (see image). Two of the leg ends have chips (see images), yet again these minor defects reflect its 170 years of life and are part of its history.
