Straw hand brush
Our traditional rice straw hand brush is handy for a quick sweep up of the kitchen floor, and is best friends with our aluminium dustpan; and, it is as equally at home inside on tiled floors, as it is in your outhouse, garage, shed or yard.
The plant from which rice straw is obtained has nothing to do with rice. Rice straw comes from Sorghum, a variety of grass that is cultivated from the Balkans through to the sub-tropics. It is chiefly grown for cereals, alcohol production and biofuels - and it is the upper part of the plant that is used for broom fibres.
