The Hobbit Document Trunks
JUST ONE LEFT!
Three ex-window display Edwardian document trunks each sign-written with characters from The Hobbit, the child's fantasy novel by J R R Tolkien: Smaug, Bilbo Baggins and Lobelia Sackville Baggins.
Our Christmas windows 2021 held a dragon’s hoard of gleaming silver, stacked around a collection of deceased trust document tins, each belonging to characters from Tolkien's legendarium, Middle Earth. See images. Our story went “We, the trustees of the treasures of B Baggins, The Hobbit, of Bag End, and his ungrateful cousins the Sackville Bagginses, are charged with the sale and dispersal of the fellowship of the bling. Lobelia Sackville Baggins helped herself to much of Bilbo’s family silver just as he was returning from his adventures with his spoils from the Desolation of Smaug and The Battle of Five Armies, yet all was bequeathed to us here.”
Each metal trunk has twin carrying handles and a hinged lid, and the sign writing was specially created for our Christmas windows. We are selling these individually, so please make your selection in the box below. Please note we only have the Smaug trunk available- the others have sold.
