Art Deco Modernist Beauty Case
Out of Stock
A rare 1930s art deco travelling beauty case from the days of Pullman carriage splendour, when a lady took her dressing-table packed into premium luggage.
The black leatherette case is fitted with a black watered-silk mat and a mirror to the inside of its lid. The all-metal interior is compartmentalised into lidded and open sections designed to house beauty products – pencils, lipsticks, brushes, powder puffs and so on, and has a cream enamel paint finish. Glass bottles and jars, each with a chromium-plated lid, are held in place by spring clips integrated into the design. The case and its contents is all original and complete.
