Coronation Beaker
Sold
An Edward VIII coronation beaker with pink and white glaze by Johnson Brothers, made to commemorate the king that was never actually crowned. "H M King Edward VIII Coronation 1937" appears in relief near the rim, and its form with ribbed foot is typical of the 1930s modernist movement prevailing at the time. A portrait of Edward VIII and "E R" decorate the main body of the beaker.
